Nottberg Residence

The Nottberg Residence replaced an original ranch house that had suffered from years of neglect in an established Kansas City suburb. Our client was a Pilates instructor, and the residence features a studio space on its upper level. The gently sloping site opens to the south allowing for generous views to the exterior with the roof system providing broad overhangs to protect from excessive solar gain. The residence is conceived, and its lighting strategies are carefully considered, for the effective display of art.
