The Roasterie Cafe at the One Nineteen Center in Leawood, KS, provided the opportunity to build on design strategies that were explored at the original Cafe location in Brookside. The goal was to create an environment that could allow for the appreciation of great coffee in a comfortable, well lit space with enough acoustical control for quiet conversation. At the Leawood Cafe, we made our first use of the colorful Emeco 111 Navy Chair made from recycled plastic. For both of our Roasterie Projects, MSA appreciated the attention to detail provided by Ian Hurst and this team at Hurst Construction and the great cabinet-making skills of Ryan Comment and the crew at Bootlace Design.
